The Vision is a one-board quiver, with enough rocker to cushion your landings, enough pop to perfect your next new trick and enough speed and edge to carve upwind and slash swell. It’s fast on the water and has great load and pop thanks to aggressive NACA channeling. A vertically laminated wood core gives the Vision a lively, responsive feel and the rocker profile is ideal for aggressive all-around freeriding. It can handle chop and cut upwind well, but is equally at home when boosting big and landing hard in the flats.

Vision base:
The Vision features a .2mm Dura-Light base. This hardened base material is stiff and about half the weight of our traditional base layup. For reference, other 2018 Slingshot base thicknesses are as follows: Refraction (Sam Light pro)- .7mm Dura-Glide base; Misfit- .2mm Dura-lite base; Karolina Pro- .2mm Dura-lite base.
Carbon Bedrock inserts:
One of many Slingshot innovations, our carbon-reinforced inserts have proven to be the lightest, strongest and most flexible we’ve seen yet. These inserts reduce overall board weight, increase pull strength and allow for a more consistent flex under foot.
Construction:
Slingshot twin tips are hand crafted out of all wood cores. We use sustainably grown Paulownia, which gives the lively, springy character that Slingshot boards are famous for. Our vertically laminated construction harnesses the collect strength of the wood’s grain and provides strength, durability and consistent flex over the life of the board. As an added layer of protection, we finish every board with a full urethane rail to protect from inevitable mishaps and impacts with hard objects. We’ve added vibrant urethane colors give the visual pop distinct to Slingshot.
