Foil Drive makes electric foil assist systems: a small motor and battery that bolt onto your own foil and board and push you up onto foil, then let you switch off and ride like a normal foiler. That is the key difference from an eFoil. An eFoil is a dedicated powered board you ride under throttle the whole time. A Foil Drive gets you up and linking waves, then gets out of the way.
Foil Drive batteries are not all interchangeable across generations. The FM+ 650 Battery ($1,349, 648Wh, 8.7 lb) is the standard pack for the Assist MAX+ Gen 2.5. With the $99 FM+ Battery Adapter it also fits a Foil Drive Fusion, where it works as a lighter, sportier alternative to the 860Wh Fusion battery. Older MAX-series packs such as the Max Sport High Power 396 ($789) suit earlier MAX units. If you are unsure what your unit takes, call before ordering.
We stock the parts that actually wear or get lost: the High Power V2 rotor, low-range and mid-high-range propellers, the V2 propeller guard, two-blade hub, stainless bearings, mast plate bolts, motor plug bolts, the AC charger lead, and the Retro Fit High Power Motor Kit ($1,349) for upgrading an existing setup.
