Motor Position is measured from the center of the pod to the bottom of the mast foot, the Assist position useful for short bursts of power to get on foil, the totally disappears to utilize natural elements like wind or waves to sustain your foiling. The motor height allows you to “surface motor” to the lineup, or upwind, without risk of your board touching down, while remaining close enough to the board to not interfere with your ride once on foil.
