The efficient tri-plane hull design with a slight convex at the tail provides a smooth, forgiving touchdown recovery. To improve speed and acceleration, we’ve increased the length, decreased the width and reduced the overall weight of the board for more on-water efficiency and earlier lift onto foil. Engineered for an intuitive and direct connection to your hydrofoil, the Seek has a stiff, responsive, Hybrid Carbon construction with deep-concaved deck for greater leverage and heel/toe roll control. Technology
Efficient Tri-Plane Hull
The double V-shape in the bottom contour of the board is created by a single concave in the centre with an angled planing surface on each side. The water tracks from the central concave and side rails to the two longitudinal spines, allowing the board to lift and release quickly, without sticking. The angled-planing surfaces run right through to the tail, allowing you to touch down on more variable rail angles without catching. Designed for earlier takeoffs and faster release.
Slightly Lower Entry Rocker Improves Speed and Acceleration
The lower nose rocker provides more waterline length, allowing the board to reach lifting speed earlier.
Deep Recessed Single Concave Deck
The concaved deck, especially in the standing area, lowers the rider’s centre of gravity. The recessed deck results in most of the board’s volume being shifted out toward the rails, in turn providing greater balance and stability on takeoffs and touchdown. The curve of the standing deck gives you greater leverage and heel/toe roll control.
Centreline, offline and V-Strap Inserts
Multiple positioning options for each strap allow you to personalise your stance – or go strapless. In addition to the centreline and V-strap inserts, there is an offline strap insert option for more ergonomic goofy or natural riding. (Free-Lo, Free, Free-V and Free-Lo V Foil Straps sold separately)
Compact outline with square nose and tail
The forgiving modern shape provides maximum stability and means the board is less sensitive to where you place your feet (or foil). You can feel out a wider range of positions with less consequence. The parallel outline with straighter rails is faster through the water. The straighter tail creates a cleaner release and adds volume. Additional tail volume creates more stability under your back foot, making it easier to step straight into your straps as you get up on the board.
Sleep Bevelled Rails
The steep rails keep the volume toward the outside edge of the board, adding again to the stability and making it easier to stand on and get going.
Hybrid Carbon Technology
The stiffer the board, the better it will pump and the more responsive it feels. A light yet durable epoxy composite laminate, with a balanced carbon and e-glass fibre layup is wrapped around an EPS core. Carbon Dual T-stringers top and bottom run the length of the board and a durable PVC reinforcement layer under the standing area adds greater impact resistance and rigidity.
DropBox Fast Foil Mounting Track
Our unique structurally-integrated DropBox has a longer track for a wider adjustment range, allowing you to precision-tune the foil set up for your rider weight. A measurement guide next to the track aids correct positioning. Industry-standard 90mm track spacing means the Seek is compatible with most foil systems. Foil mounting screws and t-nuts are included with your board, and come pre-installed into the DropBox track.
GORE Water Proof 2-Way Vent
The EPS core of a high volume board is affected by extreme temperature changes. To prevent air pressure build-up, North installed a two-way GORE Protective Vent on the top deck. This allows air to pass in and out of the board, while preventing water from entering. The vent is factory-fitted and does not require and adjustment.
Non-Abrasive Max-Traction Deck Grip
North’s custom heat-embossed deckpad with front foot centre-line ridge allows fast easy foot placement for a more intuitive and direct connection to your foil. The integrated tail-kickpad and transverse markers also provide a tactile and visual stance reference.
Integrated Underside Carry Handle
A recessed carry handle on the underside of the foil board allows balanced load handling with our without the foil attached and leaves your hand free to carry your wing or paddle down to the water.
