We took this foundation and went to work to create the Mantis Apex.
At the core of the Apex is Aluula Gold, a material that’s as light as it is responsive. By building it into the center section of the leading edge and strut and utilizing HTD Lite in the wingtips, we’ve created a wing that reacts faster, holds its shape longer, and gives back exactly what you put in.
The Mantis Apex is more than high end performance. The wing breathes with you, alive in the gusts, stable in the glide. It’s sharper. More controlled. More intuitive.

ALUULA AIRFRAME
Aluula composite airframe is lightweight, ultra strong, extremely stable with a dynamic response.
CONVEX DIHEDRAL
Convex Dihedral helps expand the range of the Mantis by providing an increased power to stability ratio. It also creates more steering stability of the wing while flying by the handle on a wave.
CRISP CANOPY TENSION
The Cabrinha Mantis APEX is the pinnacle design of our wing program. It’s the cleanest, most precisely tensioned canopy we’ve created to date and sets our new benchmark of wing designs.
CONVEX STRUT
The Convex support strut on the Mantis V3 provides a stiffer and more reactive connection between the rider and wing.
SPANWISE PANEL LAYOUT
Panel layouts running across the wing help distribute load equally throughout the canopy leading to a better distribution of load in key areas across the wing. 20/20
VISION
A refined window layout, running parallel alongside the strut, made from weather resistant TPU provides increased visibility when riding.
TEIJIN D2 RIPSTOP CANOPY
Made in Japan, this advanced double ripstop canopy fabric offers superior performance and longevity. Enhanced by Teijin’s D2 coating, this exclusive fabric offers increased resistance against tearing, UV damage and abrasions.
ALUULA GOLD
Gold is an ultra-lightweight, high-modulus material that dramatically increases stiffness and durability in wing leading edges, enhancing responsiveness, impact resistance, and longevity
KEY-LOCK ANGLED HANDLE ATTACHMENTS
Indexing attachment points lock down the composite handles eliminating any rotation at each connection point. The culmination is the most rigid, direct handle design to date.
TE LOAD DISTRIBUTOR
Increases wing durability while robustly helps distribute wing tension throughout the Trailing Edge. The abrasive material stops scuffing while the wing rests on land.
AIRFRAME INFLATION VALVE
The Cabrinha Airframe inflation valve is a high-capacity, one-way valve designed for quick and secure kite inflation using a standard pump hose. Its twist-to-lock mechanism ensures an airtight seal, making setup and pack down efficient and hassle-free.
STRUT INFLATION
The Mantis Apex incorporates options for strut inflation and deflation. The Airframe single point inflation system allows for seamless set up, while the introduction of an Airframe Inflation valve helps for quick deflate and packing.
FREE FLY PRECISION
Rigid and responsive. The Mantis Apex front handle enables precision control of the wing when free flying the wing. Ideal for riding waves and controlling the wing while in neutral.
