Our bestseller inherits its predecessor’s hard-charging multi-channel hull, chop busting V-shaped keel, and powerful Paulownia wood core. Reducing board thickness while adding more carbon fiber between the pads allows us to liven up the tips, add more pop, and most importantly, improve cruising comfort. Our lighter board sports a shiny new topcoat with UV blocking additives.

Exclusive to CORE

Our proprietary 30° biaxial carbon fiber layup optimizes torsion and flex. Our made-to-order 30° biaxial carbon fiber has more flex along the length of the board and less flex between the toe and heal. Cartan carbon’s unique high filament count also requires less resin which saves weight. Enjoy improved pop, softer landings, and extreme durability with Cartan.

MULTI-CHANNELS

The channels worked so well on the Fusion 3 we continued the design on the new board. The center channel follows the length of the board and provides extra depth for the V-Keel. In addition to the center channel, we added two ¾ length outer channels that further improve edging. Freestylers can load their edges more than ever. And freeriders will notice how well the Fusion 4 tracks upwind.

VARIO RAILS

The rails feature a variable thickness profile, increasing roughly 6mm in depth from the tips to the grab handle. Vario Rails precisely control flex across the entire width of the board. Just imagine the kinetic energy you will generate with these rails!

VEE ROCKER

The Fusion 4’s rocker is more pronounced under your feet and progressively reduces towards the tips. This knowhow borrows from the Imperator 6 – Carved Custom’s latest masterpiece.

3D WOOD CORE

Powerfully light, marine grade, wood core. The laminated, long-grained Paulownia wood core gives our boards dimensional stability, decay resistance, and a lightweight yet distinctively powerful character. The Paulownia extends towards the board edges and is CNC milled both top and bottom. The large wood core reduces board weight and improves flex memory.

DIMOND 3D SHAPE

Dimond Shaped Perfection Take a close look at the Fusion’s surface contours. Near the footpads, the wood core is milled in the shape of a diamond. This shape directs torsional forces to the edges where you want them for a perfect balance between flex and rigidity.

V-SHAPED KEEL

Inspired by the legendary handling of deep V powerboats in rough waters, we added a deep V-shaped keel along the entire length of the board to penetrate chop and smooth your ride. And who doesn’t like its pillow soft landings?

DOUBLE CONCAVE

Always in control. The double concave V hull increases hydrodynamic grip at any board angle to rip tighter, butter-smooth turns. Effortless, slashy turns that are imprinted in your memory forever.

G 10 CUTBACK FINS (48MM)

A perfect balance between tracking and freestylin’ magic. The impact resistant, G10 fiberglass fins have just the right amount of tracking stability without getting too much in the way of switches.
