The battery is purpose designed, built, and tested especially for the Foil Drive Assist system. Every battery has been carefully manufactured and extensively tested in house, featuring a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) to ensure safety. The BMS manages the charge rate, balance of the individual cells, low and high voltage cutoff, internal resistance and temperature monitoring.

If you are purchasing a new battery and have an existing charger, you may require a V2 Battery Adaptor Lead. We have changed the plugs on the V2 batteries so original V1 Charger require this adaptor lead

The Small 4.2ah Battery is perfect for Wing Ding riders or competent Down Wind Foilers who want to reduce weight for pumping and turning and only need to use full power for very short periods to get up on foil.

Airline Travel Bundle Plus

The Small 4.2ah Battery alone is perfect for Winging or competent Down Wind Foilers looking to reduce the weight. Due to it’s size, this battery can only be used use full power for very short periods to get up on foil, it cannot be used for efoiling. Small Batteries can be purchased individually.

The included Parallel Y Lead connects 2x Small 4.2ah Batteries together, creating the capacity of an 8.4ah battery (2/3’s a Standard Battery). Two batteries have been designed to fit together inside the electronics Box, you must follow the placement and orientation directions in the image below.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

When flying on your chosen airline, you must contact them well before you fly as you will need prior approval for these batteries. Most airlines will allow a maximum of 3x spare batteries and generally must be in carry-on luggage. However please confirm with your airline first! Batteries will need to be below 30% State of Charge (SOC) and have both charge and discharge plugs protected with electrical tape with each battery in its Lipo bag for protection. (This advice is generic and must be confirmed with your airline. DG rules are taken extremely seriously and must not be broken.)
